In Memory of Marty Pfeiffenberger

Marty Pfeiffenberger, President and Owner of Maple Tree Funding, passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2020.

Marty’s passion for helping people and his love of working with numbers led him to establish Maple Tree Funding back in 2003. Since then, the business has continued to grow, offering a wide array of mortgage programs and options to home buyers and individuals looking to refinance. Marty worked with clients every step of the way to help them achieve home ownership. He particularly loved watching clients get the clear to close on their homes, and sharing in the excitement as they realize that their dream of owning a home is finally going to be a reality. 

In addition to being the founder of Maple Tree Funding, Marty was an active member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB), serving as the organization’s secretary at the time of his passing. He also held the position of president of the Board of Directors of ClearPath Association Management Solutions and had recently served as chair of NAMB’s Government Affairs Committee. Marty’s commitment and contributions to NAMB was recognized in October 2020 when he was presented with the 2019-2020 Mortgage Professional of the Year Award, a national award and one of the association’s most prestigious honors. 

Marty was also a long-time Broker Member of the N.Y. Association of Mortgage Brokers (NYAMB), and served as NYAMB President from 2014-2015.

Along with his professional roles and accolades, Marty was a beloved husband, devoted father, and friend to many. He was an avid sports fan, loved golf, and enjoyed coaching and volunteering with his son, Chase’s, sports teams. He lit up every room he entered, had a great sense of humor, and his positive personality will be greatly missed by many.
